Discourse at Forefront Festival 2015

I’d like to introduce you to some of the excellent speakers coming to Forefront Festival 2015.

Dr. T. David Gordon

Dr. T. David Gordon is a professor of Religion and Greek at Grove City College outside of Pittsburgh, PA. During his career he has directed and taught at many other prestigious institutions including Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Covenant Theological Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. He has written countless articles on theology, epistemology, linguistics, ethics, and culture, as well as the critically acclaimed books Why Johnny Can’t Preach and Why Johnny Can’t Sing Hymns.

At Forefront Festival 2015, Dr. Gordon will launch the keynote discourse about art aesthetics from a Christian perspective.

Tammy Glover

Tammy Glover co-founded Urban Impact Foundation in Pittsburgh, PA in 1995. In 2005, she began a “Performing Arts” ministry in her living room with 12 students. By year’s end, 40 young people met weekly in the Glover home. Today, the Performing Arts program boasts 120 students in the Middle School and High School Choir who have been seen by 2.6 million people. There are also 70 students in the Children’s Choir, 115 participants in the Performing Arts Academy, and two traveling ensembles–the Urban Impact Singers and the Urban Impact Shakes.

At Forefront Festival 2015, Tammy will speak as part of a panel to tackle hard questions about the intersection of faith and the arts.

Laura Lee Anderson

Laura Lee Anderson is a writer, actor, urban youth mentor, wife, and mother from Pittsburgh, PA. She started writing Young Adult fiction in 2011, writing a novel that won that year’s NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). For the next couple years she continued to write, besides being an actress, barista, and stage manager for Shakespeare productions. Most recently, she wrote a young adult contemporary novel called Song of Summer, which Bloomsbury Spark picked up for publication in spring of 2015.

At Forefront Festival 2015, Laura will perform a live reading of part of her new hit novel.
